STAYWELL
75+
Staywell
75+ is an award winning, preventative healthcare scheme, which is co-ordinated
by our health visitor for older people. The scheme encourages all patients aged
75 years and over to be actively involved in their own health care. Annual postal
questionnaires are sent out to the majority of people. Some patients are assisted
by Staywell’s trained volunteers to complete Winchester questionnaires.
The information that patients provide is kept strictly confidential and is used
to assist health professionals to monitor health difficulties arising at an early
stage, which can prevent existing conditions becoming suddenly worse. This can
help, in the long term, to limit admissions to hospital or care homes. Patients are visited in their own homes, as necessary, by Bridget Rowcliffe or her assistant, Nurse Annabel McEune.
Staywell volunteers are trained and fully supported by Bridget Rowcliffe, Annabel McEune and the
scheme administrator, Pamela Porter, who are always interested to hear from anyone who would like to
become a volunteer visitor. Further information is available on www.staywell75.co.uk.
